Looking Back, Looking Forward

When I started Skydell Contracting back in 1988, I wanted to fill a need. That need was to help people who wanted to have smaller projects and odd jobs done by someone able to do a little bit of everything. I had always done this type of work for family and friends and thought to myself – what a great way to make a living, doing something I knew I enjoyed.

Before long, people were asking me to take on bigger and bigger projects. Since I had a growing family to feed, I took what came my way. In l995, we became certified in basement waterproofing using the Beaver Basement Waterproofing System. In 20__ we added insurance repair and restoration work to our list of skills, though kitchen and bath remodeling projects continue to be our mainstay.

Now in 2012, Skydell Contracting Inc. is one of the leading home remodeling contractors in the Somerset, Union and Essex Counties of New Jersey, providing remodels and additions to kitchens, baths, and other areas of the home, as well as basement waterproofing, handyman installations (windows, doors, cabinetry, et al), and insurance restoration. We’ve started a blog, a Facebook page, and are investigating other ways to enhance our business in this new digital era.

Looking back on the past 24 years, one thing has remained consistent: our sincere desire to help people transform and improve their home. If for some reason we can’t do the job you have in mind, we almost certainly know someone who can, and are always happy to provide guidance and a contact name.

So the next time you get frustrated by all the things that need to be done in your home, and you’re unable to find anyone to do them, give us a call at 732-271-2938. Skydell Construction is ready to ease your frustration!

Respectfully Yours,
Skydell Contracting Inc.
